Ship-Based Sea Surface Dissolved CO2 (pCO2), 2007-2008 CFL IPY Project

Purpose

During the 2007-2008 CFL IPY Project, the research icebreaker CCGS Amundsen overwintered in the South Beaufort Sea/Amundsen Gulf flaw lead system. The purpose of this experiment was to comprehensively study the flaw lead system through an entire annual cycle.


The purpose of this dataset was to examine the dynamics of sea-surface dissolved CO2 over an annual cycle in an Arctic flaw lead/polynya system. This dataset provides context for the various atmospheric, oceanographic, chemical and biological processes which were examined by the various investigators involved in the CFL study.
